Damascus is a faith-based, 12 month, programmatic, residential, rehabilitation facility.
The program is an aggressive learning, growth, and healing experience. We provide the love, the tools and direction for your success, but residents do the work of recovery. The first two months are serious study, classes, groups, homework, and book work. The next four months are a continuation of study along with part-time work for which residents receive a small allowance. The last six months residents work in the community for a paycheck which is used to pay a program fee and to save for graduation.
Graduation from the Damascus program requires completion of the following:
- Be part of a Church family
- Wherever possible, be reconciled to your family (spouse and children)
- Be working the job you intend to keep
- Have arranged for future transportation to your job
- Have established or rented the place where you will live
- Completed the Damascus program.
Bring with you no more than:
- Work clothes, shoe/boots, casual dress clothes, underwear, toiletries, Bible, paper, pen.
- 3-4 changes of clothes are preferred, but not necessary for admission. Phones and electronics are not allowed. Smoking and nicotine products are prohibited.
