What is Damascus
Damascus is a life changing men’s ministry, a turning point and escape from poor past life situations, decisions and addictions. Damascus currently has a footprint through several men’s classes in and around the downtown area of Dyersburg, and currently has under construction a new recovery center that will open sometime in late 2017.

New Recovery Center
Damascus has a new recovery center currently under construction that we hope to open sometime in late 2017. Damascus is totally dependent on "volunteer help" from the surrounding areas for the completion of this facility. The facility will be a 24 hour professionally staffed residential recovery program offering sanctuary to men seeking a new road in life. Currently, there is not a program in N.W. Tennessee as comprehensive as Damascus will be offering, though the need is great. The Damascus Recovery Center will be a great addition to the Dyersburg area for reducing "recidivism" (in and out of jail all throughout life) by showing and teaching men to follow Christ as a lifestyle.
Will you help?
Damascus, located two blocks off Dyersburg downtown square is now currently in need of more volunteers! For the next several months, we need volunteers that will help us complete the upstairs inside living quarters and common spaces for the programs residents. Volunteer timeframes for the upstairs renovation are currently on Fridays and Saturdays 9am to 1pm, and lunch is usually provided. Sometimes the Lord uses our offerings, sometimes he uses our time…and our skillsets. (Several plumbers would be very helpful too!) We also need mentors who know what a close walk with the Lord is like, and can mentor and share that as a lifestyle
