What is Damascus

The Damascus Recovery Program is a twelve-month program with a focus on helping men make healthy life changes through faith-based curriculum and a relationship with Christ that promotes good moral values and quality lifestyle, moving away from previous poor life choices. Damascus opened it's doors in July 2023, started accepting residents and is currently allowing applicants to apply on-line (see on-line application, this website).

Damascus teaches discipleship, offers back to work employment opportunities, and life-skills-training in a safe and drug-free environment that enables men to succeed on their road to recovery.

What We Do At Damascus

We have noticed, after a resident has been at Damascus for a while, that for many residents a bond begins to develop between the men, that "they" find very helpful. We believe this bond will go beyond their time here at Damascus and we are very encouraged by what we have seen forming in many of them. The staff at Damascus promotes bible study and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ since it develops a person's character, self-value, and insight into the world around them. The staff and residents work toward personal development, Christ-centered thinking, and our promoting off-sight work and job opportunities.

We are encouraged by what we see God doing at Damascus.

Recovery Center Location

The Damascus Recovery Center building is one block away from Dyersburg Town Square at 333 S. Mill Ave, Dyersburg, TN 38024. Business hours are from 8am to 4pm.  The facility is a 24-hour professionally staffed residential recovery program offering sanctuary to men seeking a new road in life. Currently, there is not a program in North West Tennessee as comprehensive as Damascus.

Will you help?

Sometimes the Lord uses our offerings and sometimes he uses our time or our skillsets. Do you know what a close walk with the Lord is like? Are you interested in sharing? Damascus is grateful for each and every volunteer and contribution!
